To the Editor:
On or about Dec. 16, 2020, after he had lost the election, Trump sent out a letter asking for his supporters to come to Washington, D.C., on Jan. 6, 2021. He further said, “It will be wild!”
After the invite to D.C. on the 6th of January, the MAGA Club here in The Villages decided to send people to Washington on the 6th. Two busloads of them went to Washington.
We all know what happened that day, and some of the Villagers afterward were tried and convicted of different felony charges.
I don’t have all the names, but ChatGPT said a William Chrestman from The Villages “received national attention, because allegedly he was a member of the Kansas City Proud Boys, and he had ties to The Villages.” Florida had more people convicted from that day than any other state.
It has been on my mind lately that for the first time in my life, I look down my nose at anyone who voted for Trump. His lack of morality is there for everyone to see, not just me. Yet these Trump supporters just do not give a damn that the man our children and grandchildren should be looking up to as the leader of our democracy is a convicted felon 34 times with almost 60 more felony charges to go. He is a man found liable for sexually abusing E. Jean Carroll, and his own ex-wife said he forced himself on her.
He was the best friend of the world’s leading pedophile, or maybe he led Epstein. Only the complete release of the Epstein files will help tell the whole story. The Republican Congress already had Bill and Hillary Clinton testify under oath. When will Donald and his wife testify under oath? Maybe we will see that if the Democrats regain the House of Representatives in November.
