Melanie Carole Adkins, age 45, of Lake County, Florida, passed away on June 18, 2026. She was born on October 29, 1980, in Maysville, Kentucky. At the time of her passing, she was a resident of Summerfield, Florida.
Melanie built her career in professional painting with MCA LLC, bringing steady dedication and pride to her work. Throughout her life, she carried herself with willful optimism and never let the difficulties she faced make her bitter. She loved unconditionally, gave openly and without restraint all that she had and all that she was.
Her interests reflected a mind both searching and sincere. Melanie cared deeply about environmentalism and was drawn to astrology, conspiracy theories, poetry, and charity—pursuits that spoke to her curiosity, her imagination, and her desire to make meaning and offer help where she could.
Thank you for standing with us as we honor her memory, and find strength in each other. We will carry this day – and Melanie’s love – in our hearts forever. May we continue to keep her spirit alive by sharing the same compassion, laughter, and light that she brought to the world.
Melanie is survived by her children, Alexandria G. Folgore and Kayla H. Ringer; her parents, Hobert and Melinda Adkins; her sister, Melissa D. Adkins; her brother, Joseph C. Askins (Glenda); and her grandson, Wyatt D. Wise.
Visitation will be held at Harden-Pauli Funeral Home, 1617 South Bay Street, Eustis, FL 32726, US, on July 6, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
