As the three-year anniversary of the Town of Lady Lake’s only unsolved homicide approaches, the Lady Lake Police Department is renewing its call for the public’s help in bringing those responsible to justice.
Twenty-year-old Bryson “Swift” Leverette was killed and another person was injured in a shooting outside a home at 104 Caroline Ave. on June 30, 2023. Investigators determined the victims were leaving the residence around 12:44 a.m. when they were ambushed by multiple suspects armed with several firearms. The suspects fled the area in unknown vehicles.
“Three years later, Bryson’s family is still waiting for answers,” said Detective Ronnie Williams, the lead investigator. “Someone knows what happened that night, and we are asking them to come forward. Even the smallest piece of information could help bring justice to Bryson’s family.”
