The restrooms at the SeaBreeze Recreation Center are to be demolished and replaced at a cost of $300,000.
The Project Wide Advisory Committee will consider issuing a purchase order for the work when its members meet at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the SeaBreeze Recreation Center, which was constructed in 2010.
“The current restrooms are outdated and show significant signs of deterioration. Therefore, a full renovation is essential to preserve the facility and uphold The Villages’ standards,” District Property Management Director Mike Harris wrote in a memo outlining the need for the project.
The planned project encompasses the full demolition of existing restrooms, along with the installation of new flooring, countertops, fixtures, and partitions, as well as updated paint and wallpaper finishes.
G&G Construction of Marion County is to be awarded the contract. The project will be paid for with amenity money.
