A 45-year-old Wildwood woman has been arrested after allegedly sending a profanity-laced card accusing the recipient of being a Nazi.
Amanda Marie French was taken into custody following an investigation by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies were called to Coleman City Hall on March 20 after a victim reported receiving a letter that left them in “imminent fear” for their safety.

According to the arrest report, the card mailed to the victim’s home contained highly aggressive political rhetoric and specific threats. The message read in part: “We know you’re a NAZI. The flags were a dumb move. Watch your back, you FACIST [sic] cow. Remember what happened to Hitler & his fans. The same is coming for you, Trump & Bebe.”
The note concluded with a vulgarity-laden insult and was signed with the initial “A.”
Investigators processed the card for forensic evidence and discovered latent fingerprints that matched French. When confronted by deputies, French waived her Miranda rights but eventually stopped answering questions, requesting an attorney.
Deputies noted that the evidence—including the fingerprints, the return initial “A,” and the victim’s specific account—established probable cause for an arrest.
French was booked into the Sumter County Detention Center on a felony charge of intimidation via a written threat to commit bodily injury. She has since bonded out of jail on $8,000 bond.
