Randy McDaniel, who has guided the charter school for nearly two decades, has opted to resign from the Sumter Landing Community Development District Board. McDaniel has named a possible successor for his seat on the SLCDD board. McDaniel suggested that Village of Caroline resident Peter Moeller be appointed to the seat. Moeller is no stranger to government in The Villages, having served for many  years on the Community Development District 6 Board of Supervisors and the Project Wide Advisory Committee.
