Don Deakin, who has been an involved resident of The Villages for more than 24 years, will host a Q&A meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, July 6, at the Mulberry Grove Recreation Center.
These meetings are open to all Villages residents and their guests. Come when you can, leave when you need to.
This meeting will begin with updates regarding several hot topics that might be of concern to many residents, including:

Increases in monthly amenity fees.

Local district annual maintenance tax assessments.

Extension of water shortage restrictions through Oct. 1.

New policies for trash and yard waste pickup collection.

Stormwater drain failures.

SECO’s new LED streetlights.

Executive golf vs. championship golf conditions.
The rest of the meeting will follow the usual format of providing residents with the opportunity to ask questions, get answers, share concerns, offer suggestions, seek solutions and address rumors.
The meetings provide an informal setting with no agenda, no restrictions on topics and no speaking time limits. And because residents choose the topics, each meeting will be different.
