I pass by the home on Webster Way in the Village of Pine Ridge frequently, and the flags are a recent change.

There has been a ridiculous number of tacky decorations on display since before last Christmas. He changes the ornaments seasonally.

The Halloween decor just recently changed to flags. With so many beautifully maintained yards in The Villages, the neighbors deserve not to have what, for the most part, looks like a junkyard most of the time.

This wasn’t just about flags, which I’m sure wouldn’t bother anyone if it were just that. It’s about an eyesore, and even though there should be some leniency regarding decorations, they should at least be short-term when seasonal, and preferably tasteful.

If you want to go all-out tacky, do it inside your house where it isn’t at the expense of everyone else.
