To the Editor:
This letter is in response to the letter by Bill Nitardy of the Village of Sunset Point. He lamented that gospel music is not played in the town squares, despite there being 192 churches in and around The Villages. Gospel music targets a limited group of people, excluding others. The music at the squares is intended to make all welcome and exclude no one.
Mr. Nitardy, if you are interested in hearing gospel music, I suggest you go to church, the only appropriate place for gospel music. Really, it’s very simple. Just go to church. You can hear gospel music then, I guarantee it.
