To the Editor:
According to faithstreet.com we have 192 churches in and around The Villages. We have about 150 evening performances in our squares each month or 1,800 performances per year. Exactly zero of those are gospel music performances. They all are a tribute to something other than the creator God and biblical values.
Since we have such a large population of churchgoers that worship God, why can’t we occasionally have a tribute to our creator God when we have 192 churches in the area from where the evening entertainment attendees come from.
There are gospel groups that travel and perform. Also, there are local churches that could sponsor these types of events or several churches could combine their talents together.
Are any of you with me on this observation and recommendation?
