Traffic will be backed up on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 after a pedestrian was fatally struck on the busy roadway between Lady Lake and Fruitland Park.
The Lady Lake Police Department Traffic Homicide Unit is working the crash, which occurred at 5:45 a.m. The accident occurred in the area of southbound U.S. Hwy. 27/441 and Hartsock Sawmill Road. Traffic will be impacted for several hours, police warned.
