A 42-year-old Lady Lake man escaped injury Thursday morning when his semi-truck jackknifed on a wet stretch of Interstate 75 in Pasco County.
The man was driving a flatbed tractor-trailer loaded with aluminum panels southbound on I-75 near Milepost 293 at about 9:30 a.m., according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

While navigating the wet highway, the driver lost control of the rig. The semi jackknifed, traveled onto the outside shoulder, and struck a light pole before coming to a final rest in an adjacent ditch.
Troopers confirmed the Lady Lake driver was completely unharmed in the crash.
