In April 2024, Grady and Dorothy Gardner acquired the property for $1,050,000, meaning the property netted approximately $125,000 in profit in just over two years since its last sale.

First constructed in 2011, the home was sold new to Susan and Steven Chapman for $450,000 in June of that year.

In November 2017, the Chapmans sold the property to Conrad and Pamela Shaffer for $685,000. The Shaffers eventually sold the property to the Gardners.

The home, which is a Sanibel model, encompasses 3,600 square feet and features three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Situated adjacent to the Laurel Valley Postal Station, the property also features a screen-enclosed, computer-controlled swimming pool, motorized privacy shades, and a whole-house Kinetico water filtration system with a dedicated reverse osmosis station, according to an online listing for the property.

The $1.175 million transaction is the latest in a series of high-dollar sales in The Villages.

Earlier this year, another home in the nearby Village of Bridgeport at Lake Sumter sold for $1.45 million, nearly doubling the $800,000 price it previously fetched in 2014.
