An Ocala man was arrested after being stopped with a suspended license at Sunoco.

An officer observed 35-year-old Terrence Michael Tallinger driving a white Mercury Grand Marquis with bubbly dark window tint around 3:10 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. A check of the tag revealed his license had been suspended, prompting a traffic stop at Sunoco, 900 Main St.

When asked for his driver’s license, Tallinger admitted that he did not have one because his license had been suspended. Dispatch confirmed he had four active suspensions for unpaid financial court obligations. He also had two prior convictions in Alabama for driving without a license in Feb. 2026 and Dec. 2025, the report said.

Tallinger was arrested on charges of operate motor vehicle without valid license (third or subsequent violation) and driving while license suspended. The New York native was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center with bond set at $1,000 and a hold from Alabama.
