The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is now offering a free and voluntary golf cart registration program. The program will help identify golf carts in The Villages and surrounding area.
Registration in the program can assist with faster recovery if a golf cart is lost or stolen, assist in quicker identification after crashes, and may even deter theft.
If you would like to register for the program simply visit any of the sheriff’s offices, complete the registration form and present a photo ID. The golf cart owner will then be provided you with a unique registration sticker. For more information about the program visit our website at sumterso.org
