Brian Gregory Anderson

A Village of Bonnybrook man has been jailed without bond after claiming he put a bounty on the heads of five police officers.

Brian Gregory Anderson, 53, on June 1 reportedly made the threat on Facebook. He claimed he had a bounty hunter who would carry out the threats for $500 per officer. The arrest report did not indicate where the police officers were employed or located.

The Buffalo, N.Y. native on June 10 made a threat against his immediate family members. He boasted that “his guy is under the radar and is a marksman” and would  kill all three family members for the bargain price of $1,500.

Anderson was interviewed Monday about the social media threats at the Sumter County Detention Center. He had been arrested earlier in the day on a warrant charging him with failure to appear.

Anderson had been free on $27,000 bond. He had been arrested in April after allegedly attempting to assault his neighbors with bug spray.
