Construction worker injured in Village of Pine Ridge

Emergency responders were called Monday afternoon to the Village of Pine Ridge when a wall collapsed, injuring a construction worker.

The construction worker was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center after bricks reportedly fell on him when the wall collapsed at a home under construction. He had been in a hole where a swimming pool is being constructed.

The Village of Pine Ridge is located in the new Fruitland Park section of The Villages, south of County Road 466A.
