Karen Claudeen (Moyes) Tilton was awarded the Iowa Teacher of the Year by the University of Iowa, Maquoketa Teacher of the Year, Outstanding Speech and Drama Educator Sectional Award by the National Federation, and the University of Iowa Communication Education Outstanding Alumni Award.
