James Dalton obituary

James R. Dalton, 78, entered into eternal life, Friday, June 21, 2013. Born in Manchester, NH, he was the son of the late Joseph and Emma (McMillan) Dalton. James was a sales representative for Gulton Industries. He retired in 1997 after 30 plus years of service.

James had resided in West Warrick, RI for nearly 32 years before moving to The Villages, FL in 2004. He served his country in the Army National Guard of New Hampshire. James was a Roman Catholic and was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Manchester. He enjoyed music, especially Country and listening to Dolly Parton, Neil Diamond and Julio Iglesias. Golf, walking, Sudoku puzzles, and being a practical joker were activities he liked to do.

He was most proud of his marriage and family. Sadly, he was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Joan C. (Gage) Dalton who passed in 2001. He leaves his daughters, Debbie Cook of The Villages, FL and Vicki Perry of Summerfield, FL, a grandson, Jason Perry and great grandson, Kyle Perry.

Visiting hours will be held at the Goodwin Funeral Home, Manchester, NH on Friday, June 28, 2013 from 4 – 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester.
