MacKillop, longtime resident of Teaneck, New Jersey, having spent the last 19 years residing in The Villages in Lady Lake, Florida, died at home on June 28, 2013 at the age of 86. Born in Englewood, N.J. on May 21, 1927, Gordon was the only child of the late Archibald and Jennie (Macafee) MacKillop. Gordon attended the New Jersey Public school system and graduated from Farleigh Dickerson University with a Degree in Business Administration. Gordon was in charge of the Northeast Real Estate Division for American Can. During WW II Gordon proudly served in the Army Air Force. A long time active member of the Teaneck United Methodist Church, he served on many committees and taught Sunday School. During his life Gordon made many friends. Many of those friendships spanned a lifetime. He and his wife, Dorothy were members of the Wally Byam Caravan Club one of the largest recreational vehicle organizations in the world. Gordon would often describe those trips with his beloved Dorothy sitting by his side and Airstream in tow, as some of the best days of his life. In addition, Gordon was a member of the Fraternal Order of Shriners and the New Jersey Power Squadron which he continued to serve during his retirement years. Gordon is survived by his wife Dorothy (Kamm Stickels) MacKillop to whom he married on October 4, 1958, his sister-in-law Jean Stickels Eikhof, niece Kathleen Eikhof Phillips and husband, State of New York Orange County District Attorney Frank Phillips, nephew Thomas Eikhof and wife, Barbara, several godchildren, many cousins and very dear friends, especially his best man, Paul Ketchpelt. Gordon wanted to especially thank Bennie Wilson for the excellent care and kindness she provided for Dorothy and him during the past several years. A grave side service will be held at the George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery located in Paramus, New Jersey.
