Former Villages Charter School head named Belleview principal

Mike Kelly, who headed the Villages Charter School from 2002 to 2007, has been named principal at Belleview High School.

After leaving the Villages Charter School, he became principal at Lake Weir Middle School and assistant principal at Lake Weir High School.

Most recently, he served as principal at North Marion High School.

In a news release this morning, Marion County School Superintendent George Tomyn unveiled the principal lineup for the coming school year:

·         Belleview High – Mike Kelly

·         Emerald Shores Elementary – John Williams

·         Exceptional Student Education (ESE) – Barbara Dobbins

·         Fessenden Elementary – Isaac Burgess

·         Fort King Middle – Renee Dudley

·         Lake Weir High –  Wayne Livingston

·         Lake Weir Middle – Stephanie Callaway

·         Legacy Elementary (new school) – Dawn Prestipino

·         Maplewood Elementary – Laura Burgess

·         Marion Oaks Elementary – Gary Smallridge

·         MTI – Jim Wohrley

·         North Marion Middle – John Kerley

·         School Development and Evaluation – Kathy Quelland

·         South Ocala Elementary – Lisa Coy

·         Sparr Elementary – Patricia Hornsby

·         Ward-Highlands Elementary – Melissa Kinard
