THE VILLAGES – David A. Yardley, Jr., 66, entered into eternal life, Friday June 21, 2013. Born in Detroit, MI, he was the son of the late David A. Yardley, Sr., and Eleanor (Dittberner) Yardley. David was a tool and die designer in the automotive industry and worked in the Detroit, MI area. He came to The Villages from Brighton, MI in 2012. David was of the Lutheran faith. He enjoyed listening to the music of the Beach Boys, Beatles, and 60’s Rock n Roll among his favorites. He played guitar and was a model railroad (HO) enthusiast. His wife Mary and children were his pride and joy. David leaves his wife of 26 years, Mary (Lewis) Yardley, his mother, Eleanor Yardley of MI, sons, David A. Yardley, III of Berlin, CT, Darrin R. Yardley (Melanie) of Waterbury, CT, step-daughter, April Hemp of Plymouth, MI, sister, Nancy Tar of Berkley, MI, brother, Richard Yardley of Clarkston, MI and a grandchild, Marissa Yardley. The family will receive relatives and friends at a Gathering to be held at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 10 a.m. to be followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Villagers for Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162-9985.
