The Alzheimer’s Family Organization had a fundraiser Tuesday evening — under a beautiful rainbow — at Cody’s at Lake Sumter Landing.
The rainbow was so beautiful that even restaurant owner John Demetriadis stepped out to take a photo of it with his phone.
Even when Alzheimer’s seems at its darkest, you have to look for the rainbow, said Carol McCarthy of the Alzheimer’s Family Organization.
The event at Cody’s was the second such event organized by Enid Cristodero of the Village of St. James.
The organization will hold a candlelight memorial service at 6 p.m. Nov. 19 at Homewood at Freedom Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care.
Sumter County Sheriff Bill Farmer is the honorary chairman of the annual Alzheimer’s walk to be held in April.
