
Requests for bids will go out within the next two weeks for a traffic signal for Colony Boulevard.
The latest on the Colony Boulevard traffic situation was discussed Thursday afternoon at the meeting of Community Development District 9 supervisors.
On Jan. 5, the Project Wide Advisory Committee abandoned a plan to build a golf-cart bridge over the popular thoroughfare. PWAC returned to a previous plan to install a traffic light.
For the time being, Community Watch has been directing traffic there.
On Thursday, District Manager Janet Tutt reiterated that she doesn’t want Community Watch personnel out directing traffic when the warm weather returns.
CDD 9 Chair Diane Spencer applauded the work Community Work has done at that location.
