The lanes were jammed at Fiesta Bowl on Sunday as a field of 64 bowlers was trimmed to 32 in the Knockout tournament.

A huge number of spectators showed up for the tournament.

The 32 top bowlers will return Feb. 16.

Former Professional Bowling Association member Bob Chamberlain and Jack Keesser each rolled games of 289.

Carol Teel won her match by bowling a 279 in the third and final game. She will go on to the next round of 32.

Requirement to participate was belonging to a sanctioned league at either Spanish Springs Lanes or Fiesta Bowl and to be at least 50 years old.
