Villager taken in for medical evaluation as result of DUI investigation

A Villager was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence early Saturday morning in a Walgreens parking lot.

Donald Androwicz, 36, of Picasso Place in The Villages, was discovered by a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy in a vehicle in the parking lot of Walgreens at 1581 Bella Cruz Drive.

He told the deputy he had been drinking at a bar in Spanish Springs.

According to the arrest report, Androwciz blew a .309 and .306 in the  Intoxilyzer test, and was transported to Pasco Regional Medical Center for medical clearance.

He was later taken to the Sumter County Detention Center.
