Driver arrested after vehicle clips tree

A 22-year-old Summerfield man was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence after his vehicle clipped a tree and went into a culvert on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 at Main Street.

Dakota T. Borrowdale was arrested April 23 by Lady Lake police at the scene of the accident.

The Villages Public Safety and Community Watch were called to the scene as a result of the accident.

The police report there were beer cans in the passenger seat of his vehicle.

Borrowdale was transported to the Lake County Jail where he posted $500 bond and was released.

Serious top-down management failure in The Villages
