A man was arrested at Ross Dress For Less at Rolling Acres shopping plaza after using a special magnetic tool to remove security packaging from a bottle of cologne.
Oscar Del Pozo Balanos, 57, of Hialeah, was arrested at 4:46 p.m. May 16 by Lady Lake Police after a loss prevention officer at the store contacted police.
When a police officer arrived, Balanos was in his vehicle in the parking lot with the stolen bottle of cologne which he had concealed in his undergarment, according to the arrest report.
The cologne was valued at $29.99.
Del Pozo Balanos was transported to the Lake County Jail. He is facing charges of possession of an anti-shoplifting device and retail theft.
He posted $2,250 bond and has been released.
