To the Editor:
Can anyone explain to me why people stop their carts in the driving lane of multi-modal paths? Have you seen somebody stop to talk on the phone, text, look at a map or just talk to a neighbor who is walking the path? Would you stop your car on I-75 in the driving lane or on Morse Bouledvard? I don’t think so.
Today, a man had his bike parked on the side of the path while he took a breather and watched golfers. Carts had to go out and around the bike. Multi-modal paths have lots of shoulders, grass areas, that you can pull onto. If on a roadway you would pull onto the shoulder. There is a man who comes out the Santo Domingo gate, parks on the path near the bend to walk his dog. Please use common sense and pull onto the grass before someone gets hurt.
