Duke Energy wants to build transmission operations center in Wildwood

Duke Energy is planning to build a 29,400-square-foot transmission operations center in Wildwood.

Duke Energy’s site plan application will be up for consideration when the Wildwood Planning and Zoning Committee meets at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Wildwood City Hall.

The transmission operations center would be located on County Road 462 at the CSX right-of-way.

If the Planning and Zoning Committee approves the site plan, it will go on to the full Wildwood City Commission.
