A 57-year-old Village of Piedmont man is being held in the Marion County Jail on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following his arrest at his home on Bartram Loop.
According to a report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Whiteley came home intoxicated and threatened a woman in the home with a knife.
He has been assigned a court date of July 24.
