To the Editor:

When I left the Villages in the past I always enjoyed returning to a sign on the entrance gate – “Welcome Home.” Several years ago the signs were removed and it was explained to me that some regulation would no longer allow the signs to be displayed. Just the other day a rode past the Village of Bridgeport and much to my surprise a sign on the entrance gate read:  Welcome Home.  Could someone tell me why that would be allowed? I can’t believe it would be alright, just because it’s the Village of Bridgeport.
