House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer will be in The Villages on Saturday morning to speak to the Democratic Club of the Villages.
The Maryland Democrat has been a fixture in the Democratic leadership in Congress for years. As Whip, he is the second-ranking member of the House Democratic Leadership.
The event will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at Colony Cottage Recreation Center. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. with refreshments.
All Villagers are welcome to attend, but club members will be seated first.
The club will also be collecting non-perishable food and/or cash for the Wildwood Food Kitchen.
