Seniors vs. Crime wants to make sure Villagers are aware that Sunpass has posted a Phishing Scam alert on their website stating:
“Because many Florida Turnpike and Sunpass customers frequently travel in the Northeast and Midatlantic states, we are posting the following warning provided by our friends at E-Z Pass advising about a potential scam being distributed by e-mail:
Alert: Phishing Scam – There are emails being sent claiming that drivers owe money for unpaid tols. This is not an email from E-Z Pass of the E-Z Pass toll agencies. Please do not open or respond to this email if you receive it. If you require more information, please contact the E-Z Pass New York Customer Service Center at 800-333-8655 (TOLL). To see an example of this e-mail, please go to http://floridaturnpike.com/
