Carlos L. “Shorty Bum” Francois, 78, Leesburg, FL. passed away on September 13, 2014 under the loving care of family at Lane Purcell Hospice House in Sumterville, FL. Mr. Francois was born on August 19, 1936 in Venezuela to his parents Gilbert Francois and May Arthur. He was the owner of Fitco Video in Brooklyn, NY. He and his wife moved to Leesburg, FL in 2007 from Deland, FL and moved to Deland in 2003 from Staten Island, NY. Mr. Francois was of the Catholic faith and loved soccer, gardening and music. He is survived by his loving wife of over 40 years: Kimchoy Francois of Leesburg, FL; two sons: Robert Marin of Uniondale, NY and Carlos Luis Arthur (Andreina Maria Bravo) of Venezuela; five daughters: Jennifer Marin of White Plains, NY, Ava Samuel (Welwyn) of Antigua, West Indies, Junne Jacqueline Arthur (Angel Heriberto Gonzale) of Venezuela, Miriam Carlota Arthur of Miami, FL and Gail Pare (Dan) of Leesburg, FL; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 6:00PM at Page-Theus Funeral Home Chapel, Leesburg, FL with a Visitation prior to the service from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
