Months of high-tech detective work have resulted in the arrest of a 50-year-old Lake Panasoffkee man on 20 counts of possession of child pornography.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received information in May about child sexual exploitation images that had been uploaded to the Internet.
Investigators tracked the images, including images involving a female between the ages of 12 and 14, to Nolan Lane. The trace was made through his CenturyLink account and with subpoena for his Google email. Investigators from Seminole and Polk counties were part of the probe.
Lane voluntarily went to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday morning.
He told investigators he had viewed images of child pornography and has saved images of under aged models nude for photography purposes, according to the arrest report.
He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $40,000 bond.
