A proposal for a Texas Roadhouse restaurant to be built near Sam’s Club in Lady Lake is up for review next week.
The national restaurant has executed a lease with the Benchmark Group to build a 7,163 square-foot, sit-down, full-service restaurant. The restaurant will employ 20 full- and part-time employees. The hours of operation will be 3 to 11 p.m. seven days a week.
The Benchmark Group has been driving commercial development in that part of Lady Lake.
The site plan for the restaurant will be reviewed by the Lady Lake Commission at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Lady Lake Town Hall.
The first Texas Roadhouse restaurant opened in 1993 in Clarksville, Ind.
Today, there are more than 440 Texas Roadhouse restaurants in 49 states and four foreign countries.
