A Target employee was arrested Thursday after he was allegedly caught on video pocketing more than $2,200 in cash over a two-week period.
Jarad Wayne Roberts, 18, of Lady Lake was arrested on a felony charge of grand theft, by Lady Lake police.
Roberts worked at the Target Cafe in the store at the Rolling Acres shopping plaza and allegedly took money from the register and put it in his pants pocket, according to the arrest report.
Roberts told the police officer he needed the money to pay bills, the arrest report indicated.
Roberts was booked at the Lake County Jail and later released after posting $2,000 bond.
He is due in court for arraignment on Dec. 29.
