A Kentucky driver was ticketed after striking a pedestrian Sunday afternoon in the parking lot at Sam’s Club in Lady Lake.
Seventy-seven-year-old Ferrieres Knaggs of Summerfield was transported to The Villages Regional Hospital after being struck by a vehicle driven by June M. Berger, 60, of Shelbyville, Ky., according to an accident report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
Berger had been backing out of a parking spot when the accident occurred, the accident report indicated.
She was ticketed on a charge of improper backing.
