To the Editor:
My wife and I have been living in The Villages for a year and a half. In that time, we both have seen many near misses between vehicles entering and in the roundabouts. The posted diagrams and yield signs do not seem to be sufficient for many drivers. Now that the snowbirds are back, the problem seems to be getting worse. I believe that there should be worded signs that say, “Vehicles in the roundabout have the Right Of Way” and another that states, “Vehicles making a left hand turn MUST be in the left hand lane and vehicles making a right hand turn MUST be in the right hand lane”. That should eliminate any confusion on how to drive in the roundabouts.
