Community Development District 7 will be the next set of supervisors to discuss golf-cart path striping.

The item is on Friday’s agenda at the request of Supervisor Jerry Vicenti.

“Safety is the main issue,” Vicenti said. “We want to keep residents safety.”

District 7 has 4,765 homes and includes the villages of Hadley, Duval, Bonita and Hemingway.

The cost for striping would be 25 cents per home, Vicenti said.

CDD 7 supervisors meet at 11 a.m. Friday at Lake Miona Recreation Center.

Two residents of CDD 2 appeared before supervisors this past Friday, inquiring about the striping recently put down on CDD 4 golf cart paths.

CDD 2 Chairman John Blum explained that supervisors had turned down an offer from the Amenity Authority Committee to pay for striping. The striping in CDD 4 cost about $3,200.

CDD 1 and CDD 3 also turned down the striping offer from the AAC. Arguments against striping included lack of consistency throughout The Villages.
