Fross scored in every inning to outpace Perkins and remain undefeated and tied for first place. Dave Pope and John Gouin led the win with 4 hits each while Ron Rowe, John Hoover(3 RBI’s), pitcher Jim Joseph and Dan MacPherson(3 RBI’s) all added 3 hits. Mike Labetti added a homerun and 3 RBI’s. For Perkins, Randy Bowen had 3 hits, including a 3 run homer and a total of 4 RBI’s. Tim Wilcox had 4 hits & 3 RBI’s while Jim Morton had 3 hits & 3 RBI’s.

 

MULBERRY 25  3AMIGOS 11

Mulberry scored in every inning to remain tied for first place while handing 3Amigos their first defeat. The winners got a big day from Tom Ramberg and Ralph Furbush. Tom had 5 hits and 6 RBI’s while Ralph had 5 hits and 3 RBI’s. Ed DeMaio had 4 hits and a Sac Fly while Marty Berger and pitcher Rick Stenson both added 4 hits.  They also got a 3 run homer from Ed Haith. Dave Hinkley and Terry Yanny led  3Amigos with 3 hits each while John Reedy and Bill Pauldine each added 2 hits.

 

SRG 6  PAUL DAVIS 3

SRG claimed their share of first place in a close pitcher’s battle win over Paul Davis. The win was paced by 3 hits each from Pat Perkins, Mike Bernbach, Bill Nesbit and John Kushner(2 RBI’s).  Paul davis also had 4 players with 3 hits each, Jeff Bekasi, Bob Buchanan, Mac MacCumbee and Bud Sheerin.

 

HARLAN 16  BABIARZ 11

Harlan was led by sponsor Bruce Harlan’s 4 hits and also got 3 hits each from Manny Sanchez, Craig Dahlquist, Ken Atkinson and Ev Rhyner(3 RBI’s). Manager Bob Winder and Ed Moriarity led Babiarz with 3 hits each and Jack Finley added 3 RBI’s.

 

HUMANA 14  SYNERGY 10

Humana again built a big lead but this time held off their opponent to break into the win column for the first time. They were led by Tom McGann, Bob Roth(2 RBI’s), Bob Jacques and Jack Feest who all went 3 for 3. Five other players had 2 hits each. Synergy,still searching for their first win, were led by Ed Wyks who had 3 hits while Bud Ramsey and Mike DeMaio who both had 2 hits. Eight other players had 2 hits each.

 

IHOP 15  ARDEN 6

IHOP scored 5 runs in three different innings to hold Arden winless this season. The win was paced by Wayne Mallory and pitcher Jim Lambert who both had 3 hits. Jim also had 6 RBI’s. Four other players helped with 2 hits each. Arden’s bats were relatively silent but Don Mulneix, Gary Bennett and manager Jim Allison(3 RBI’s) who each had 2 hits.
