SUMMERFIELD – Glenn “Bud” Carpenter 91, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Marion County on April 2, 2015.
Bud was born in Lapeer, MI on December 11, 1923. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Marjorie, three sons, Greg, David and Dan (wife, Michelle), a sister Wanda Carpenter, five grandchildren, Erica, Mary, Jesse, Blair and Jamie and two great granddaughters, Brooke and Sydney.
Bud proudly served in the Air Force during World War II. After his service to his country he worked at Lapeer Metal Products for 44 years while living in Utica, MI.
Bud and Marge left Michigan after his retirement to come to Florida and pursue their love of golf. They lived in Spruce Creek South first before moving to Del Webb Spruce Creek in 1999 where they have always enjoyed their golf, bridge and their many friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends at a Gathering to be held at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Service 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages on Monday April 6, 2015 at 10 AM followed b y a Memorial Service at 11 AM.
