To the Editor:
I was appalled to read a notice that the Old Mill Playhouse theater is now offering a more extensive menu at their concession stand— pizza, chicken tenders, shrimp, cod fillets, curly fries etc.—to eat in your theater seat! Who wants to sit in a theater with such an assortment of smells…sitting literally inches away from some stranger balancing dinner on their lap. Noise, smells, spills and crumbs are bound to happen (in the dark yet) and the garbage that creates—yuck! Not to mention one wonders if “leftover stuff” from the previous show will lurk somewhere on the seat just vacated. (Think grease and Ketchup!) We planned to go to the movies on Saturday…called and confirmed this was true…then cancelled our plans. I never plan to go to that theater again until that new policy is revoked. If you feel as I do, call (750-5580) and complain to management, or it may happen in all 3 theaters.
