Synergy broke an early 5-5 tie and outscored Mulberry 8-1 in the late innings to knock Mulberry out of the unbeaten ranks. The win was paced Ed DeMaio(3 RBI’s) and Mark Hildebrand who each had 3 hits. Rick Duemler had 2 hits, including a home run while 5 other players chipped in with 2 hits each. Mulberry had 2 hits each from RJ Jackson(4 RBI’s), manager Ken Scanlon, Dennis Bauch, Chuck Bowman and Bob Buchanan.
HARLAN 19 HUMANA 2 IN 5 INNINGS
Harlan scored in every inning and pitcher Bruce held Humana to 7 hits in the rout. Jim Rogers (3 RBI’s) and Chuck Alexander (2 RBI’s) led the win with 4 hits each. Kirby Campanella, Wayne Grunewald, Wendy Hartfiel and sub Rick Poland all added 3 hits and 2 RBI’s. Humana was led by dale Moses who had 2 hits.
FROSS & FROSS 18 IHOP 16
Fross built a 7 run lead and held on for the 2 run victory. Dave Pope (4 RBI’s) and Al DuBuc led the win with 4 hits each. They were helped by John Reedy’s 3 hits and pitcher James Moyer’s 3 hits and 4 RBI’s. IHOP got 3 hits each from Bob Depace (3 RBI’s), Tom Bolte and Denis Hodge. Pitcher Fred Hughes added a homerun and 4 RBI’s in the loss.
FALL SEASON SIGNUP SCHEDULE
It is time to begin filling out applications for our Fall season. As has been our custom, all players will be required to turn in an application and beginning next Tuesday applications will be available at the field. Applications are always available in the lobby of the Saddlebrook Recreation Center. The deadline for submission of your application is July 21st. The draft will be August 12th.
