Mulberry remained solidly secure in first place by doubling up on Harlan. They scored 7 early runs and hung on for the win. They were led by pitcher RJ Jackson (3 RBI’s), Bob Buchanan (3 RBI’s) and Dennis Bauch (2 RBI’s) who all banged out 3 hits in 4 at bats. Harlan was led by Ed Moriarity who had 3 hits and 4 RBI’s while Chuck Alexander had 2 hits and 2 RBI’s.
SYNERGY 28 FROSS & FROSS 9
Synergy brought hots bats to the field today and banged out 33 hits while scoring 28 runs. They scored in all but the 2nd inning and everyone in the lineup had a multiple hit game. Mark Hildebrand led the offence with a 5 hit, 6 RBI day while Bob Kelly (2 RBI’s), Ed DeMaio (3 RBI’s) and Rick Duemler (2 RBI’s) all added 4 hits. Four other players had 3 hits each. Dave Pope had 3 hits and 3 RBI’s in the loss while sub Felix Rodriquez (2 RBI’s), Al DuBuc and John Reedy all added 2 hits.
HUMANA 15 ARDEN 7
Humana built a 10 to 4 lead and held off Arden in the late innings for the win. Lew Burhans, Dave Oatley and Bill Yeager (4 RBI’s) all had 3 hits in the win while John Hoover had 2 hits and 5 RBI’s. Harlan got 4 hits each from Ed Haith and Manny Sanchez and 2 hits each from Marty Berger and Jack Meagher.
