Harlan built a 7 run lead and then traded runs with Synergy in the upset win. The winners got 3 hits each from 5 different players, Wayne Grunewald, Kirby Campanella (4 RBI’s), Ed Moriarity (2 RBI’s), Chuck Alexander and sub Bill Naasz. They also got 3 RBI’s from Tom Ceglie. Synergy was led by Mark Hildebrand’s 3 hits while Ed DeMaio (grand slam homer/4Rbi’s), Jeff Bekasi and Rick Duemler each added 2 hits.

Arden edged IHOP behind Jim Morton’s 3 hits and 3 RBI’s. They also got 2 hits each from Manny Sanchez, Ed Haith, Jack Meagher and manager Jim Allison. IHOP got 2 hits each from Denis Hodge, Tom Bolte, Jim Crabtree (2 RBI’s), pitcher Fred Hughes and Bob Jacques.

Fross had a very balanced attack in this win. Al Mahar had 3 hits while John Reedy (2 RBI’s), Al DuBuc, Craig Dahlquist (2 RBI’s), Dave Pope (3 RBI’s), Mike Labetti (2 RBI’s), manager Al Deibler and sub Rick Poland all added 2 hits.
