Frankie Avalon, who burst onto the scene as a teen-age heart throb in beach movies with Annette Funicello, is coming to The Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center.

Avalon will be performing in two shows Oct. 24. The shows will be at 5 and 8 p.m.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday. They can be purchased at The Villages Box Office or www.TheSharon.com.
In the 1960s, Avalon and Funicello starred in “Beach Party” and “Beach Blanket Bingo.”
In 1978, he sang “Beauty School Dropout” in the hit movie “Grease.” In 1995, he made a cameo appearance in the Robert DeNiro movie, “Casino.”
The 74-year-old continues to tour with two of his sons playing in his band.
