A 63-year-old Del Webb Spruce Creek woman was arrested on a felony charge Saturday afternoon after she allegedly attempted to steal more than $300 worth of items from Beall’s at Southern Trace in The Villages.
Marianne Angelika Poulson was spotted attempting to leave the store with items with a total value of $304. She was taken into custody by a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy. A criminal history check showed that Poulson had no previous arrests for retail theft.
She was booked on a charge of grand theft at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $5,000.
