Frankie Brin Financial (FBF) 70’s traveled to Oviedo Softball Complex in Oviedo, FL, to participate in the FHCASA September Super Slam 60’s Tournament on September 12-13, 2015. The team went 4-0 in the top bracket of the 70’s Division. The team played excellent defense throughout the tournament. The offense scored 50 runs while giving up 18 runs in four games.
The first game on Saturday, Frankie Brin Financial won over Florida Legends 26-6. In the second game, FBF defeated Honest John’s, formerly Custom Apparel, 12-6. On Sunday due to the threat of rain, a two pitch 30 minute format was implemented. Upon expiration of 30 minutes, the teams would finish that inning and play one more inning. The batters start with a 2 & 2 count. Frankie Brin Financial played Honest John’s again winning 6-1. That was the championship game for Frankie Brin Financial. In the final game FBF won over Senior Moments 6-5. In that game, FBF trailed 5-1 and scored 5 runs in the next to last inning. FBF shut down Senior Moments in the last inning.
